The talented dancer and teacher Belen Silva, from Argentina (living now in Sydney), will be back in Newcastle twice a month in September and October 2011 to conduct the following workshops:
Sunday 11th September 2011
- Workshop 1 – 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm: ’Possibilities in the basic step’
- Workshop 2 – 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm: ’Boleo within the basic step’
Sunday 25th September 2011
- Workshop 3 – 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm: ’The walk: projection, dissociation, contraposition’
- Workshop 4 – 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm: ’Boleo within the giro’
Sunday 9th October 2011
- Workshop 5 – 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm: ’Controlling the dancing space/The embrace and its possibilities’
- Workshop 6 – 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm: ’Boleos for the dancing hall’
Sunday 23th October 2011
- Workshop 7 – 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm: ’The walk: parallel, crossed in milonga’
- Workshop 8 – 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm: ’Complex sequences for small spaces’
Venue for all workshops: Cardiff Senior Citizens Hall, cnr Myall Rd. and Harrison St., Cardiff.
Guided practica: Also, a guided practica from 4:15pm to 5pm on each of the above days.
Cost: $25 per person for one workshop, $40 per person for both; $70 per month if doing the 4 workshops of the month.
