Obsession tango weekend, 30th and 31st October 2010

We have a great “Obsession Tango” weekend coming up at Cielo (102 King St., Newcastle) with the beautiful and talented Belen Silva.

The programme is as follows:

SAT 30th OCTOBER (Beginner Classes and Obsession Tango Event)

• Belen Silva FREE introduction to tango class 1.00pm-2.00pm

• Belen Silva beginners class (walking in double time) 2.30pm-3.30pm. Cost-$20.00 per person.

• Obsession Tango Event -7.00pm till late (Dinner, live Tango demonstrations by guest performers, an introductory lesson and dance into the night with our passionate Milonguer@s!). Cost-$45.00 per person (RSVP by 29th October).

SUN 31st OCTOBER (Workshops and Guided Practica) 

• Belen Silva general/intermed. workshop (simple barridas) 2pm –3.30pm. Cost-$25.00 per person per workshop.
• Belen Silva intermed./advanced workshop (synchronization and de-synchronization in the lead, incorporating alterations) 4.00pm–5.30pm. Cost-$25.00 per person per workshop.

NB1. If doing 2 workshops then total cost is $40.00

NB2. If attending Obsession Tango Event on Sat 30th and doing 2 workshops then total package cost is $75.00 ($65 for regular attendees of Wednesday practicas!)

• Guided Practica 5.30pm – 7.00pm. Cost-$10.00

Obsession Tango – An Argentine tango weekend. September 11 and 12, 2010

A tango weekend featuring introductory lessons, beginner and intermediate workshops by Belen Silva, and dinner with milonga, including tango demonstrations. At Cielo, 102 King Street, Newcastle.

Obsession Tango

On the night of Saturday 11th you are invited to an evening of Tango with dinner, show and dancing. There will be an introductory lesson by Belen, a 2-course meal and live tango demonstrations by international guest performers. Then dance into the night with our passionate local milonguer@s.

Cost $65 VIP seating (stage seating, full table service) and $40 General seating (dance floor seating, bar service).
